Top 8 effective ways I detox my body

Helping your body to detox is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Because I have chronic pain and inflammation (Fibromyalgia); detoxing plays an important role in my daily routine. Even the smallest changes can make a great impact.

What is Detoxification?

Detoxification is the cleansing of the internal organs of the body from environmental pollutants, food waste, poisons, harmful bacteria and other substances such as alcohol, medications and parasites. The human body is designed to get rid of waste. The organs of detoxification include the colon, liver, lungs, kidneys, skin and lymph glands.

Here are my top favorite and effective modalities of detoxing:


Water is so important to our bodies and our overall #‎health. Water helps our body to naturally detox. Try adding lemon to your water, it helps re-hydrate the body and promotes digestion, which will help the flow of waste out of your body. There are so many reasons to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water.


Detox Tea

I love a nice cup of detox tea in the eveing.  Our bodies heal while we sleep so why not enjoy a nice cup of tea to relax before bed and give our body the extra help to detox and heal. My new favorite detox tea is Yogi Berry Detox.



Sweat it out. I don't have the luxury of having a personal home sauna. However, there is a local spa that has a Vibrosaun machine.  The Vibrosaun “Miracle Machine” consists of two primary modalities; a therapeutic dry sauna heat and a padded vibrating bed. Dry Brushing

dōTERRA®'s Zendocrine essential oil blend is a proprietary blend of therapeutic-grade essential oils of rosemary, cilantro, juniper berry, tangerine, and geranium that have been studied for support of the cleansing organs of the body. An added benefit, and one not often discussed, is that exercise actually helps your body to detoxify itself.  Moving the body creates the conditions for the body to breathe, stretch, circulate and sweat. I don't have time in my day to go to the gym but that can't be an excuse to not work out.  I will either go for a nice brisk walk or follow my home workout routine of 21 Day Fix, 21 Day Fix Extreme or CIZE.
